The National Oil and Gas Agency of Angola has published the oil production report for August 2020, which showed that there was a 0.42% increase in the quantity of oil produced in August as against the forecasted production quantity.

The Agency puts the oil production for August at 39.265 million barrels of oil, with an average of 1.265 million barrels per day, which is an increase of 0.42% increase from the previous forecast of 1.260 million barrels per day.

For the month under review, three rigs were active. They are the Transocean Skyros in block 32, Maersk Voyager in block 17 and the IDECO 350, a land rig in the FS / FST concession.

Work was also carried out in seven wells, three for deepwater development and four onshore light interventions. There was also drilling of 42 meters due to the fluid loss problems that occurred in well MOS-W14 in block 32.

The production of associated gas was 94.228 million cubic feet, with an average of 3,040 MMSCFD, which is an increase of 9.63% above the earlier forecasted 2,773 MMSCFD.

The LNG processing unit of Angola had a production of 4,692,514 BOE. This value adds LNG, Butane, Propane and Condensates, which is an average of 151,371 BOEPD.

There was an average of 121,984 BOEPD. Propane reached 427,044 BOE, which is an average of 6,454 BOEPD.

The production for Butane was 283,910, with an average of 9,158 BOEPD. Condensates reached 200,070 BOE with an average of 13,776 BOEPD.

Cabinda Association had LPG production of 519,222 barrels, which translates to a daily average of 16,749 barrels.

For oil, condensates and LPG, the production was 39,957,532 BOE, which corresponds to an average of 1,288,953 BOE.

The operational efficiency of the facilities was 89%, against the 91% initially forecast.
