Farhat Bengdara, the head of the National Oil Corporation, and Michael Ohnmacht, the German ambassador to Libya, had discussions on Saturday that were mostly about bilateral ties and energy-related cooperation.
Ohnmacht responded to the meeting on Twitter and characterised it as highly positive. He also noted that they discussed the close ties between the NOC and German companies. The potential for establishing a dependable, long-lasting relationship in the sphere of renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen, was discussed by the two parties.
On Monday, the importance of international businesses with expertise in helping to develop and explore uncharted land and sea zones was emphasised by the Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohammed Oun, in a meeting with the Indonesian ambassador to Libya.
Both discussed the potential benefits for the two countries in the training of cadres and the sharing of experience in the oil and gas industries.
The Indonesian ambassador emphasised the significance of expanding cooperation between the two sides, indicating that his country is looking forward to ramping up cooperation, and reiterated the need for ongoing meetings between the two parties for the benefit of the two countries.
