The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya and KPMG Tunisia has signed a consultancy contract yesterday, 8th December 2020, for a project to develop a comprehensive system for financial and administrative system, human resources, marketing, manufacturing, exploration and production. Work on the project is to begin immediately.
The value of the contract was not disclosed. The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors at the National Oil Corporation have directed all concerned departments to provide the necessary support and data that KPMG requires, to help implement and complete the project in the shortest possible time.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of the NOC, Mustafa Sanallah, said that the conclusion and implementation of the agreement will enable the Corporation to automate all of its works, introduce modern digital technology of all its financial, administrative and technical systems related to the fields of exploration, production, manufacturing and marketing international and human resources.
He said it will help to position NOC as the first sovereign entity in Libya to implement the concept of transparency and good governance with high professionalism, adhering the global standards of major energy companies.
In his words, “KPMG was chosen to implement this project, as it is one of the four best companies in the world and because of its extensive experience in this field, and we hope that the company will be able to achieve the goals of the institution. The NOC is to digitally transform all its businesses over the next two years.”
