The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) invites applications for pre-qualification from internationally reputed geophysical service providers to carry out the Acquisition and Processing of 1200 sq.km of 3D Marine Seismic data over the GH-WB-01 block offshore Ghana.

The activity is set to commence in the Second (Q2) or third (Q3) quarter of 2023 and should span a period of not more than fourteen (14) months.

The GH-WB-01 Block is in the Tano Basin offshore Ghana. The block has both transition and shallow water zones, with water depths ranging from 0-150 meters. The proposed seismic is in the western portion of the block where the minimum water depth is approximately 30 meters.

 Two major gas pipelines; the Ghana Gas and OCTP gas pipelines transit the block. Design and Acquisition of data: The Corporation will provide tentative Acquisition and Processing parameters.

SUBMISSION

  1. Submission of Application for Pre-qualification Duly completed Pre-qualification document in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked: “Pre-qualification for the Acquisition and Processing of 1200 sq.km Full Fold HighResolution 3D Marine Seismic Survey in the GH-WB-01 Block”
  2. Four hard copies and one soft copy on pen drive of the completed Request to Pre-qualify documents and other requested information shall be referenced and addressed to THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE, Attn: HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN. GHANA NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION, 4TH FLOOR DENNIS HOUSE (SUPPLY CHAIN DEPARTMENT) PMB TEMA, GHANA.
  3. Completed Pre-qualification documents should be submitted to GNPC on or before 10:00 AM GMT, November 08, 2022. Late submissions shall be rejected and returned unopened to the applicants.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

Applications submitted by a joint venture of two or more firms as members shall comply with the following requirements unless otherwise stated below:

  1. The application shall include all the information listed above for each joint venture member;
  2. The application shall be signed so as to be legally binding on all members;
  3. The application shall include a copy of the agreement entered into by the joint venture members defining the division of assignments to each member and establishing that all members shall be jointly and severally liable for the execution of the Contract in accordance with the Contract terms; alternatively, a Letter of Intent to execute a joint venture agreement in the event of a successful Tender shall be signed by all members and submitted with the Tender, together with a copy of the proposed agreement;
  4. One of the members shall be nominated as being in charge, authorized to incur liabilities, and receive instructions for and on behalf of any and all members of the joint venture; and the execution of the entire Contract, including payment, shall be done exclusively with the member in charge.
