His Excellency, the former Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons Equatorial Guinea, Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, has been reinstated to his position by the President of the country.
This announcement was made by the Minister on his official Twitter handle. He tweeted: “With great satisfaction, I received the news of my reappointment as Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons by H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. I will like to Thank GOD, H.E. my family and all the personal of @egmmh in Malabo and Bata. #TIJI ” Hard work, innovation, hierarchy and Image”
Minister Gabriel Obiang recently requested for an Extraordinary Session of the Council of Ministers of the African Petroleum Producers’ Organisation, where he reiterated the importance of collaboration between African Nations in the field of hydrocarbons. He has been actively involved in brining investments to Equatorial Guinea through his ‘Equatorial Guinea’s Year of Investment‘.
Last weekend, the entire Government of Equatorial Guinea was dissolved during an Extraordinary Council of Ministers Meeting. Only the Prime Minister of the country, Pascal Obama Asue, was reinstated immediately but there has been optimism that H.E. Gabriel Obiang will be reappointed considering his proven progressive track record in the Mines and Hydrocarbons sector.
