Philip Mshelbila has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) by the board of directors. Mr Philip succeeds Tony Attah, the company’s current CEO, who will return to Shell on August 30th, 2021.

Nigeria LNG (NLNG) is an incorporated joint-venture with four shareholders: the Nigerian government, represented by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, with a 49% stake, Shell Gas with a 25.6% stake, Total Gaz Electricite Holdings France with a 15% stake, and Italian giant Eni with a 10.4% stake.

The NLNG Board of Directors nominated Tony Attah as CEO in July 2016. Philip Mshelbila, who previously served as CEO of the Atlantic LNG Company of Trinidad and Tobago, will take over the role on August 31, 2021.
