The Kenyan Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene prices following the Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) review of the excise duty.

The energy regulator made this known in a statement released on Friday, 2nd October 2020. The EPRA said the recalculated maximum wholesale prices of petroleum products are for October 3rd to 14th.

This new change comes after the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) adjusted the excise duty on the three products, after taking into account the average inflation rate of 4.94 per cent for financial year 2019/20.

These are the new prices:

NAIROBI

The price of Super petrol increases by Sh1.12 per litre from Sh105.43 to Sh106.55

The price of Diesel increases by Sh0.58 per litre from Sh94.51 to Sh95.09

The price of Kerosene increases by Sh0.58 per litre from Sh83.15 to Sh83.73

MOMBASA

A litre of Super Petrol now cost Sh104.18

A litre of Diesel now cost Sh92.73

A litre of Kerosene now cost Sh81.37

KISUMU

A litre of Super Petrol now cost Sh107.18

A litre of Diesel now cost Sh95.94

A litre of Kerosene now cost Sh84.60

NAKURU

A litre of Super Petrol now cost Sh106.26

A litre of Diesel now cost Sh95.02

A litre of Kerosene now cost Sh83.69
