Tech World Oil Company Opens a Fuel Station at Fula Bantang, Gambia

Gambian-owned Tech World Oil Company recently inaugurated a fuel station at Fula Bantang in the Central River Region (CRR) worth D2.5 million.

The new service station becomes the sixteenth across the country. During the inauguration, the company’s operation manager, Dodou Touray, gave a brief history about the company that has been operating in the country for ten (10) to fifteen (15) years now.

He said the oil and gas specialist company is 100% Gambian owned. Since the inception of the company, over three hundred job opportunities have been created for locals and foreigners.

According to him, “We started at a small scale and had undergone through some rough and smooth moments, but gradually expanded with some degree of successes, through staff commitment and dedication to their job performance.”

Also present at the ceremony was the Alkalo of Fula Bantang village, Mr Muhammad Dem. He commended the staff of the oil company for the successful completion of the project.

He said the fuel station would not only serve his community but the entire satellite communities of about 15 villages. He said apart from Bansang and Brikamabaa in CRR, the fuel station would ease the burden on the people when it comes to fuel and gas in the area.

Also speaking at the event was Almude Ceesay, who said the more than 15 villages around Fula Bantang which stretch to Cassamancs, purchase fuel from Brikamaba and Bansang even though Fula Bantang is closer to them.
