According to World Oil, an anonymous OPEC delegate revealed that the UAE has settled its impasse with OPEC+ and achieved a compromise arrangement that will grant it a new output limit.

Due to last-minute protests from the UAE, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies were forced to reject a tentative accord to expand oil production last week. If the compromise is approved at a new meeting, it might pave the road for increased output, albeit several members have already committed to most of their August supply amounts.

According to the delegate, the UAE has agreed on a new production cut baseline of 3.65 million barrels per day, up from 3.17 million now. The country will now back Saudi Arabia’s plan to extend the OPEC+ reduction deal through December 2022.

The cartel is expected to schedule a new meeting date soon, according to reports.
